A felon needs a job in TX

A felon needs a job in TXQ: I have been search for any job and I mean any job to hire me. Due to my background it seems hopeless. I have been searching and searching. I do not know what else to do. I live in the Dallas area and thought that warehouses, landscaping companies, or construction sites would give me the chance but not luck so far.

A: Hello,

Like most felons, you may have to start small by taking up whatever job becomes available and build up your reputation and experience. I suggest starting at fast food places or other types of restaurant as a kitchen utility person. They don’t pay much but along with a paycheck, you can eat pretty well. Supermarkets may be a good place to look. Most supermarkets have overnight stocking crews that always seem to need help and may be a good place for a felon to start..

If these suggestions aren’t enough, try your local One-stop career cA felon needs a job in TXenter.  Along with many services that can help you get a job, there may be counselors there who know of businesses that will hire an ex-offender.
