Trucking Job may be Perfect Choice for a Felon

Trucking Job may be Perfect Choice for a FelonI was convicted/plead to a 3rd degree possession of a controlled substance in 07 was sent to joint served 2 years and terminated no parole. Since my release in 09 I have been to Salt lake community college twice 1-computer repair tech 2-electronic technician and as of 11/30/2012 I graduated from Road Master with my class A CDL with double, triples and tanker endorsements. Road Master did a pre-enrollment back ground check and for reasons I cannot explain it was clean “nothing to report” my driver record also is spotless, and ZERO new offenses. yet nobody will give me the time of day I am an excellent employee and have references and letters of recommendation to prove it. I am 40 single no kids no obligations relocating or travel is very possible. All I need is…… some body to give me ONE chance and a lousy 8 hours and all doubts any uncertainties will be cleared up.

Any info, help or tips would be appreciated.

There are many companies who will hire a felon.  Below is a link to a website that lists of commercial trucking companies, some of which are felon friendly.  This is a great website because it lists each company’s policies regarding hiring ex-offenders and felons.

Class A Drivers

Each Company makes its own rules as it relates to the hiring of felons. Some will employ a driver after 5 years or longer since the conviction. Other companies won’t hire felons, regardless. You must contact each individual company to find out exactly what their policy is concerning the hiring of felons and ex-offenders.
