A Tie is a Powerful Tool For Felons Looking for Jobs
Do people tend to judge books by their covers? They certainly do. You will never get a second chance to make a first impression. Too many people approach the job search in a casual way. That includes dress. Ex-offenders looking for jobs should look to dress for success. Do you look like you are going to a business meeting? You should – an interview is a business meeting. You should always look like a professional who is there to conduct business!
It is a fact that people make visual assumptions so it is important that ex-offenders make a strong visual impression when looking for and applying for jobs. No article of clothing makes a more powerful statement than a tie. A tie says “I am serious!”
I meet many felons that will miss out on making that powerful first impression because they cannot tie a tie. I have included the video below to help.
