A:
Hello Tyrell,

I’m sorry you are having so much trouble.  Firstly, I would suggest ex-offenders and felons apply employment at retail chains like Toys R Us. This time of year, retail chains hire for the busy holiday season. This may help in the short term. You could also apply at supermarkets. They are always looking for night stocking help.  There always seems to be a shortage of people to work on the overnight crew.

For the longer term you should look into getting your one felony downgraded or even sealed. To get more information on this process, check out the Cabrini Green Legal Aid. You may get assistance with this at little or no cost. The website is, http://www.cgla.net/services-guidelines.

They may also have contact with employers who hire ex-offenders and felons.

I hope this helps.
