5. There are Tax Breaks for Employers who Hire Felons

Employers who hire felons within a year of their release from prison or probation/parole may qualify for tax credits (The Work Opportunity Tax Credit.)   The WOTC  gives employers a credit up to $2,400 for hiring a felon.  There also be funds available to employers who provide training.

6. Ex-offenders and Felons can be Bonded

There is a federal program that provides bonds for ex-offenders and felons. This bond protects employers against theft or other losses due to employee dishonesty. The Federal Bonding Program is provided absolutely free of charge.
